Most people usually choose the first row on roller coaster, thinking that this is where they will experience the greatest overloads and effects. Contrary to appearances, it is worth taking the next rows, and even the last one, at many attractions. In this post, I will present some of the most interesting attractions in Energylandia and on their basis I will describe the experiences in the first and last row. So which row to choose? First or last?
Hyperion
Hyperion is one of those attractions where no matter where we sit, the experience will be extreme. In the first 2-3 rows, when we reach the top of the first slope, we will hang almost vertically down for a while before the line starts at full speed. On the other hand, people in the last rows will not feel this expectation at all. From their perspective, they will move with full force practically from the very top.
Not only that, the last rows feel as if the queue was moving faster, and the overloads were a bit stronger. I would like to add that usually in the last rows it can shake a little. The same feeling usually accompanies people in the side seats, regardless of the row occupied.
In conclusion, if you want uninterrupted views, please sit in the front row. If you want to feel the fastest speeds, take the last row.
Zadra
The feelings on Zadra are very similar to those on Hyperion. In the first car we have great views of the track , as well as a momentary suspension completely vertical after crossing the top of the first slope.
In the last row, the descent will be more dynamic, and all the effects will be felt a bit stronger and faster.
Abyssus
On rollercoasters without the classic chain lift, the feeling is a bit different. With the first and second shots, as well as for most of the Abyssus ride, it doesn’t make much difference whether we sit in the first or last row.
The situation changes for inversions and dips from the highest point of Abyssus. Here, experiences identical to those of Hyperion and Zadra appear. In the first car we will feel the inversions more smoothly and at the same time a bit calmer. In the last car, we will be pulled by the momentum force, which will make us feel the speed and overloads more strongly. The first car should also be chosen by all those who want great views, especially when going down the highest slope.
Mayan
Mayan is the largest inverted roller coaster in Poland with a classic lift and the first drop from the highest peak. For this reason , on Mayan, it would seem that the weakest sensations will be in the first row and the strongest in the last row .
Of course, it is true, but due to the fact that the Mayan train ride is not smooth, in the next rows it simply tugs and shakes strongly. The ride in the last car is not the most pleasant. So let’s choose one of the first rows, and only when we are looking for more sensations, take a ride in the last one.
RMF Dragon
Dragon is the second reversed queue in both Energylandia and Poland. The ride is very smooth and comfortable, so it is worth applying the principle in this case that if we want to see the views we choose the first row, and at higher speed – the last row.
In the first car, the ride over the first peak is relatively longer and the speed is picked up gradually, while in the last one you can feel a strong pull down just before reaching the peak.
Moya Formula
On Formula, the feeling is almost identical to that on Abyssus. We do not have a classic lift here, but only a single shot from an electromagnetic drive. As a result, in the first place we will experience the best views and smooth driving, and in the last one, slightly greater overloads and higher speed on inversions.
The formula has a relatively short track, low height and average speed, so the difference in feeling between the first and last car is small.
Śmiejżelki Energuś, Frida
These two little roller coasters for the youngest ones do not reach dizzying speeds and are not characterized by high altitude. In addition, they are in vain to look for inversion and intense sensations. After all, the same rules apply to them as on any other roller coaster with a classic lift to the highest point.
In the first car, the speed and sensations will be slightly weaker than in the last one. It is especially noticeable on Energuś when the cable car leaves the first exit. On Frida, in my opinion, the differences are less noticeable.
Boomerang, Ekipa Light Explorers
Both Boomerang and Ekipa Light Explorers are two similar roller coasters where the track is blind . First we go forward to the end, and then we go back to the station.
In both cases, it is worth taking the last cars , because we will be pulled to a higher height and we will feel the first descent longer and stronger. When returning from the rear, the sensations are definitely weaker, because the return speed is much slower.
Speed
Speed is the largest and fastest water roller coaster in the world. We cover the journey in boats that are lifted by a lift to the 50-meter peak. Then we slide down towards the water at a speed of about 100 km / h. After crossing the water, we overcome a sequence of several turns and hills to finally brake in the water and become heavily splashed.
In my opinion, there are no major differences in the sensations. The boats are short, and the lack of inversion and other intense effects means that capturing the first and last row will not matter. Splashing is another issue. And here the difference is already there. But about which row to take in order to be less splashed, you can read in the post: Where to sit on water attractions? Where does less splash?
