Energylandia is, above all, a family-friendly amusement park offering dozens of attractions for entire families and their children. The park features both carousels and roller coasters suitable for the youngest children, older kids, and teenagers seeking a high dose of adrenaline. Not every parent is brave enough to join their kids on rides like Hyperion or Zadra. That’s why I’ve prepared a list of the TOP 10 best family-friendly attractions that cater to children of various ages, their parents, and even older visitors. This ranking is based on my personal impressions and experiences, as well as the opinions of my son, mother, and friends. So, let’s dive into the TOP 10 best family attractions in Energylandia!
10 – Viking Ride – a relaxed cruise with elements of competition
Viking Ride is a cruise on 8-passenger ships among Viking decor and water effects. The cruise itself is very relaxed and all the fun is shooting water cannons at other people on the boats. If there is no other boat with guests among us, we can also shoot water at elements of the scenery. The crossing takes quite a few minutes and during this time we can get really wet.
If you want to survive the battle as long as possible on the Viking Ride, and at the same time take less part in the water battle, it is best to sit on the left side of the boat. In addition, on very warm days on the Viking Ride, a stream of water is shot up every few minutes. If we are passing by a gunshot, we can count on a slight splash.
Of course, the Viking Ride is a great scenic attraction, especially on warm and hot days , but nothing stands in the way of taking a cruise in spring or autumn. Even children aged 2 years and over 120 cm tall can take advantage of the attractions without a guardian. Adults and the elderly can also sit comfortably in the boats.
9 – Wonder Wheel – beautiful views and relaxation
Wonder Wheel in Energylandia is the highest scenic attraction, as well as the largest mill wheel in Poland. Wonder Wheel premiered in 2022. From the height of 53 meters, we are able to admire the panorama of the entire park. The Smoczy Gród zone, Aqualantis, Sweet Valley, as well as attractions such as Anaconda or Mayan are best seen. In 6-passenger air-conditioned and fully closed gondolas, we cover 2 full laps of the wheel, being able to rest, relax and admire the views. I recommend it especially as a rest after stronger attractions, as well as to take a break from running around the park for a while.
Even infants can use the Wonder Wheel, and children from 120 cm tall can go for a ride on their own. I recommend the whole family to take this trip in one of the 30 gondolas.
8 – Toffifee Gold Mine – great fun and a substitute for strong sensations
The Gold Mine is a trip on boats resembling wooden logs, which can be entered by up to 4 people. On the route of nearly 150 meters, there are two descents into the water, first lower, then higher. There is no need to count on strong splashes here, but we are guaranteed a slight dose of cooling especially on the second descent. The person sitting in front gets splashed the most , as well as taller people. Adults should sit in the back and children in the front.
The Toffifee Gold Mine can be used by children from 6 years old with a guardian or alone, from 140 cm tall. I also recommend the boat trip to adults, but older people may have a problem with getting out of the boat after the trip. It is also worth being careful when getting off, because the floor is usually slippery and wet.
7 – Atlantis – a quiet trip, but with surprises
Atlantis is a smaller version of the pontoons available in Energylandia. The river, nearly 500 meters long, is crossed in small 4-person pontoons. There are not many places on the route where we could get splashed, but there are a few surprises. The first place is the exit from the platform, right after taking the place in the pontoon. It happens that some water gets into the pontoon, but only wet legs and seats.
Further, the rafting is scenic and relaxing. It is only a bit after the tunnel that the first effects begin. On very warm days, two places have really powerful sprinklers that generate water mist. We will not be soaked, but relatively heavily splashed from the head down. After the sprinklers, the current increases a bit, but don’t worry. Similar to Jungle Adventure, Atlantis has a no-rising rule, and lifeguards keep order. Children from 4 years of age can go rafting, and people from 140 cm tall can use Atlantis on their own. I recommend the attractions to parents with children, but also older people should have fun. When getting on and off, you should raise your legs relatively high, which should be remembered by seniors.
6 – Jungle Adventure – a more powerful version of rafting in dinghies
Jungle Adventure is a rafting trip on 8-person pontoons on a rough river with a length of nearly 500 meters. Numerous water effects and surprises await us along the attraction route, including water faults and waterfalls. I will immediately add that in spring and autumn the water current is much smaller , and additional effects in the form of waterfalls are turned off. Therefore, we leave practically after each crossing unsprayed.
The situation changes on warm and hot days. Then the current is turned up to the max, and in addition waterfalls are activated. For the first time, we can get splashed after a few moments from the start of the trip. On one of the water faults, the water can splash so much that it can even reach our heads. The biggest surprise awaits us at the very end of the trip, right behind the camera taking the picture. The last of the waterfalls awaits us there. The pontoon likes to go under it, and the person who happens to be on the side of the rock will be completely covered with water from above . Guaranteed to get wet, sometimes even more than on the Speed rollercoaster.
Also, remember that standing up is not allowed on Jungle Adventure! Do not transfer, stand up to avoid contact with water, or attempt to walk on the boat. In extreme cases, it may even end up capsizing the entire pontoon. There are two lifeguards on Jungle Adventure. If they see you get up, they will whistle you.
Jungle Adventure can be used by children from 120 cm tall with a guardian and 140 cm tall alone. This is an attraction definitely for the whole family, also older people will have no problem getting on and off. Pontoons are large, comfortable and fully safe.
5 – Boomerang – Family roller coaster going backwards
Boomerang is the first of the rollercoasters in my TOP 10 list of the best attractions for families in Energylandia. It’s not the weakest roller coaster, but it’s not extreme either. Boomerang can only look dangerous from the outside, due to the so-called dead end track, which at some point ends and the queue returns backwards.
After taking our places in the wagons, we are pulled back to the main hill. After a while, the brakes are released and the fun begins. The descent is the fastest moment of the entire ride. Then we take a few turns and brake at the end of the track. The funicular train returns to the station backwards at a slightly slower pace. The sensations are really pleasant and balanced, and the travel time is relatively short. Children from 100 cm tall with a guardian or from 120 cm without a guardian will enjoy the ride a lot. Boomerang is also a great roller coaster for less brave parents or even older people. The sensations are not intense, and at most we can get dizzy when driving backwards.
4 – Ekipa Light Explorers – A more powerful version of the Boomerang
Just behind the podium, I placed a second Boomerang-style rollercoaster. It’s also a roller coaster that goes forwards and then backwards. However, its length and sensations are slightly larger and better than on Boomerang. Light Explorers can be found in the Aqualantis zone, and can be used by children from 100 cm tall with a guardian or from 120 cm on their own. Of course, nothing prevents parents and grandparents from riding the rollercoaster.
We start the ride by driving backwards onto the main hill. Then we descend at the highest speed and overcome several gentle curves to the left and right, as well as hills generating weak but pleasant positive and negative G-forces. We finish the ride at the end of the track and return to the station at a lower speed.
3 – Śmiejżelki Energuś — TOP 1 among queues for children
The top three in the TOP 10 ranking of the best attractions for families in Energylandia is occupied by Energuś. This is the first rollercoaster, after Hyperion, passed by guests right after entering Energylandia. It is not difficult to notice the orange-green roller coaster in the Bajkolandia zone, which is used by so many children and adults. It is also undoubtedly one of the strongest cableways for the youngest, because it can be used by children from 100 cm tall with a guardian and 120 cm tall alone.
The ride is relatively intense for a children’s railway. After reaching the top of the hill, we go downhill quickly and take a lot of left and right turns. The ride provides a lot of pleasant sensations, and when the number of guests is small, the service runs the ride twice, so we can have fun even longer. The only downside of the Energuś are slight vibrations and jerks during the descent, but they add charm to the entire ride. I encourage adults and grandparents to ride as well, who should also have fun with their children.
2 – Anaconda – something to cool down and have fun
Anaconda is undoubtedly one of the strongest water attractions in Energylandia. It is second only to the parameters of the Speed rollercoaster. After all, it is a great attraction for the whole family, where we sit in a large and spacious boat, and then we go down two relatively large hills resembling waterfalls. From the outside it seems that the attraction is extreme, but it can be used by whole families with children from 120 cm tall with a guardian. Contrary to appearances, the trip is short and pleasant, and the strongest thing we experience is splashing water. Interestingly, it usually splashes more when flowing down a smaller hill than when flowing higher.
Anaconda can also be used by the elderly, but it is worth helping the younger ones when getting on and off , because the boat at the station is constantly in motion. So you have to sit down efficiently and relatively quickly, and then get out of the boat. It is also worth being careful on the bridge leading to Anaconda. We can get completely wet on it if we are going over a floating boat.
1 – RMF Dragon – a rollercoaster for the whole family
The well-deserved first place in my TOP 10 ranking of the best attractions for families in Energylandia is occupied by the RMF Dragon rollercoaster. Dragon is one of the family rollercoasters, but unlike Energusia, the Light Explorers team or Boomerang, it significantly raises the level of adrenaline and gives a lot of fun from the ride. On the track with a length of 453 meters, we rush at a speed of 76 km/h, and also include a descent from a 20-meter drop. During the ride, we will also experience quite right overloads of 3.5 g.
The Dragon rollercoaster can be used by children over 120 cm tall together with a guardian, and from 130 cm alone. It is worth noting that Dragon is the first inverted rollercoaster in Poland. This means that the track is above us. Our legs hang completely freely, which elevates the sensations. At first glance, RMF Dragon looks like an extreme queue, which is why many people have a lot of fear before the first ride. It was no different with me and my son. However, there is nothing to fear. The ride, despite its intensity, gives a lot of fun, is maximally safe and really pleasant. Just break through. I also see no contraindications for seniors to use Dragon. My nearly 70-year-old mother considers Dragon to be her favorite rollercoaster in Energylandia!
